Indian Ensemble Studio Program is an initiative to develop new plays through workshops, readings, performances and installations at alternate venues in Bangalore. The first production under this initiative is Mi’raj by Nisha Abdulla, which was developed at the Indian Ensemble Playwright Program early this year and has been directed by Chanakya Vyas. The play has completed 7 successful shows at Atta Galatta, Koramangala and The Atelier Experiences, Sarjapura Road.
Going ahead the Studio initiative also plans to have an online repository of structural analysis of modern Indian plays (old and new) to enable and share various processes and methods to develop a play.
Plus, there will be readings of new and lesser known works later this year at non-conventional spaces.
We are looking for people in various capacities for future programs which includes readings, research and performances. If you’re interested to be a part of this initiative, then please write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
